We used it on a slab. Was same price as steel per square ft if you use 3/8 fiberglass vs 1/2" steel. One thing I did notice it's much lighter so it moves much more during pouring of concrete. Needs to be tied together more than steel. It wants to fall of the rebar chairs because of the moving and light weight
