Any old hog houses in your area? I’ve always wanted to get one of those little grainerys they use and put it on a timer to run auger so long twice a day. I was finishing small groups like you are now bucket feeding, free choice hay. It just becomes morning and evening routine, but it’s about impossible to leave town.

I think a guy could build one of these to feed 15-30 head with some adjustable slots in the tube that let feed out on a 15-20 foot bunk. I run a water well on a place that’s an irrigation well, when cows are in there I have a Christmas light timer that kicks the relay in to run for a programmable time to fill water up twice a day if it’s got a bunch of cows and once if not many.

You could probably use a regular auger and run it into a pan that lets the feed out in the bunk too. But I see a lot of abandoned hog houses with this style. I’m not sure what it looks like inside the house though. I’ve never been around commercial hogs.
