In the 1980's the super good dairy nutritionist Howard Larsen from Wisconsin used to say 50 lbs of cob corn equals 50 lbs of shelled corn. The cob has benefits that most did not recognize at that time. It should be noted that the cob corn was picked and husked. Might help.
