We use 3 stands of hi tensile on hedge posts every 50 feet or so. Middle wire is a ground because there’s sandy spots that will insulate against ground enough to not shock when it’s dry.
Some of this submerges completely and has pretty good current. Just clean the sticks and crap off, cut any fallen trees off and carry on
