NEMO | You're probably right about supplementing, but we really don't know what he has going on as far as how much or thick the Panicum is. He didn't tell us if it's small and mixed in where his stand was thin, or if he has big patches of it 3' tall where he had drowned out spots. I'm guessing it's fairly thin if he's just wanting to make bedding out of it that the cows will eat some, lay on rest. Sounds like more of a way to stretch a hay supply, not build body condition | |
