Northeast Colorado | My brother opened a brewery/bar in town this summer and we've been getting that volume, (probably I've never measured).
It's pretty wet, so it's pretty heavy. A couple hundred pounds is probably close to one of the black and yellow tubs everyone seems to find at the farm supply or hardware store.
When we have it, I've been putting it in a feed bunk for my beef pairs on grass. I figure supplementation isn't bad for the cattle or the grass.
There is no real rhythm to when it's going to show up. Also he had a piece of equipment down, and I haven't gotten any in a few weeks now. Each batch is different (he makes a dozen or so different beers) and would shake out differently from a nutrition perspective. The mold starts in a few days, so it can't really sit around much.
It would be hard to work out a ration.
I wouldn't pay for it at this volume.
If they're looking to get rid of it it won't hurt you, other than your back might hurt lugging it around. | |
