Why waste the time? This method IS gentle, but it won’t show you ANYTHING. Way too much momentum in the rotor. It’ll be cleaned out from end to end.
If it's done properly, the rotor will stop immediately. You have to make sure the separator clutch stays engaged and the powertrain applies a quick load with hydro and brakes to bring it to a stop quick.
