Subject: RE: What Is Your Opinion On The Sound Guard Cab?

I must officially be an old cooter now. SGB cab i will not complain; wont even complain about the year-a-round or hiniker cab. too many memories of post thanksgiving plowing with a "heat houser" on the field tractor. snowy, wet drizzly day with a stiff biting wind froze when the wind was behind you, sweated when going into the wind, wearing gloves, heavy clothes, freezing feet, damp overall on the outside. Come spring sweating or freezing again, but getting to eat dust all day. nostrils blowing black for days, teeth covered in grime, shower runs black at end of the day. summer comes baling hay, sweating, chaff sticking everywhere, open to bugs, biting horseflies, mosquitos and ground bees. radio was whatever tune you want to sing, just be sure it is loud as your ears ring after a few hours.

year a round cab was a blessing, the SGB which was better, then constant progression.

as others mentioned better than looking at horses/mules backends.

plowed once with a single bottom walk behind plow; i swear I pushed and tugged more than the horse. old guy who set me up for this experience laughed and told me he was over joyed when his dad bought a sulky plow. he told me he was most thankful for electricity. gave them lights, running water, indoor plumbing, gutter cleaners, pipelines, bulk tanks and not cutting wood for the cookstove etc

yep i am soft compared to those who were before me. as i mentioned just an old coot now i guess and i am only in my 50's.
