If you do it hot, and can get a thick walled impact to fit, dip the socket in CO2, or liquid propane, or liquid nitrogen, give the plug ten seconds to cool, hit it once, then cool the socket again. A CO2 fire extinguisher held upside down will make dry ice, pour some solvent in that ice and dip the object to be cooled in the solvent. Diesel, kerosene, gas, mineral spirits all work fine.
