Subject: RE: CODE on 2019 kenworth

WNW Illinois, Henry Co
Well, made the trip to Kenworth dealer, cause my codes did not cross to theirs. Driver waited 2 hours in line, (cam be expected), got a call saying DPF is cracked intenally, need a new one, said they have most emission problems with aftertreatment stuff on trucks, not the DEF part. of course the DPF is $5500.

He thought that the cycling of temp changes had more effect then mileage. OTR trucks run hot most of the day, where farm trucks are hot then idle then hot then idle, so basically a new day every load of corn to town or bins. kind of makes some sense.

Bought this truck new 6 years ago, just turned over 102,000 miles, bought for dependability, (so much for that idea). Dang I hate this emission crap.

common enough they said they had all the parts on hand to fix. at least he did not say, "never seen that before"

better now than in the middle of harvest

have a safe harvest guys
