Subject: Oil in coolant Detroit 60 series

central pa.
I have a 2005 Freightliner Columbia with a 14L Detroit. It started and kept shutting off. Mechanic came with code reader and said coolant level sensor bad. When I changed that out I discovered some oil in expansion tank thick black gobs maybe a half cup worth. Took hose off bottom of tank to flush oil out best I could. Called mechanic he said bring it in probably oil cooler. He checked with a guy very knowledgeable on Detroit and he says he doubts it but with only 352000 miles he isn’t sure but could be cylinder liners. Any suggestions? Plan as of today is try get through Harvest see if it gets worse. Mechanic changed oil found no coolant. Checked transmission by cracking drain plug and found no coolant there. Not sure what to do.
