Subject: Scale Printer / Thermal Paper

Cen Ks
Does Thermal printer paper go bad with age? The printer occasionally prints lines on top of each other. The scale printer doesn't get much used, a roll of paper last couple years. The printer is out side but out of rain. Does the paper get stiff and printer can pull it thru? We also notice mid-day works the best. Late in the evening when humidity come up is when its moist likely to mess up. I tried a new roll of paper, same results, however, the box of new rolls is 4-5 years old. The original printer lasted for about 4 yrs, the second one is a year old and its messing up occasionally. The printer came from Central City Scale, they recommend cleaning the feed rollers in printer with alcohol. That didn't seem to help either.

this is similar to what the printer looks like. the paper roll is inside the printer.

Any suggestions? TIA
