Aluminum fascia like on the left. First the roof, then the siding guys usually do the soffit and fascia, the soffit goes first, then the fascia gets tucked under that drip edge. That's why I said they'll probably fix it when they put the fascia up, but only if they're not pissed at the roofers. The shingles should be nailed in the middle, even the starter strip, and that drip edge will bend up enough to fix the lower bend, then the shingles will push it back down.
