Save your money & trade heads. I installed the Calmer stalk rolls & deck plates. They simply did not work on my 12 row 3000. I ran them one year & removed them.

I've never seen so many ears bounce out of my head. The trash intake is an issue on the 3000 & is a capacity killer for the machine. I ended up cutting the flighting on the auger to match the opening of the feederhouse. I then welded that same flighting I removed to the opposite side reverse flighting in the center. This takes care of the fluff building up in front of the feederhouse especially when conditions are dry. I fought this problem for years & now feeds excellent. BTW mine is on a Massey 9540 so not sure it could be done on a Gleaner. This year I will be running a Drago GT. If it takes in as much trash as the 3000 it will be gone & will use my 3000 again as it is all rebuilt & has Yetter Devastators on. I had no problem with performance other than the trash intake.

You will love the GT I am almost 100% certain. I have never done a demo that didn't sell a header

Chris
Thanks for the isight on the GT. Still looking to install header height control, I'm thinking Headsight or simply removing the Agco 3000 header system & mounting it to the GT.
