Subject: 42° downspout work?

After changes leg has a 42° downspout going to wet bin. It has a round cushion box to slow down grain at the bottom. Guessing removing that would get another 1° or so but millright had put that in as easier way to mount spout to top of bin instead of having to weld it I think? I hear 45° is ideal. Not sure what wettest corn we will dry is - maybe 25%?? Will the downspout plug?
