Faunsdale, AL | Could you use a couple gallons of stopleak? I’ve had that work well on some old stubble damaged 30.5-32 tires on a combine that had slow leaks. Split a 5 gallon bucket between two tires and they lasted several more years without going down even in the off season. Combine quit before the tires did!
I did put some in a used 30.5-32 I had bought that looked like a pretty good tire but they had scraped the inner liner off one sidewall. A patch about 2”x4” not far below the bead had some cords showing. Should have tried to boot or patch it before I installed it, but I was hopeful the stopleak would stop it from leaking air and failing. It did for a few days but then it got an air bubble on it and I drove it to the shop and got it swapped out. Since that time I have removed most of the stopleak and put a tube in it to have another combine spare already mounted. Of course it may be mounted backwards and may not last all that long, but it should allow me to keep harvesting.
