I thought the whole reason for a power shut down was to look at the crop in different stages through the combine, like it would be during normal operation??? How would shoving hyd lever clear forward and over filling a machine be able to help figure out anything???

The throttle is moved to idle first and the brakes applied. The engine will die before any additional crop is taken in.
