East Central Nebraska
Pulled a 1000 gal sprayer for alot of years. I've used an 2wd 8030 allis, 105 white 2wd, CIH MXU 110 2wd, Challenger MT 535B with CVT, and AGCO 9745. Currently have on the 9745. I'm not understanding the hydraulic load. I don't think it takes much, but setup is the key. Pump must be set properly to your hydraulic system and flow control set properly. ACE pump manuals on line do a good job of telling you how to set up your hydraulics matching to your tractor. Probalby would want closed center on that type of sprayer but I'm not a hydraulic expert. Also in the hills it takes power to maintain speed. My challenger at 120 hp just didn't have the ponies to maintain 7- 8 mph. Same with the other tractors. My 9745 does and I can pull it at 1650-1700 rpm and very rarely need full throttle. As far as dealer availability, I guess I have been lucky. I'm about 30-40 miles from anything and really has never been an issue. Planned pre-season maintenance goes a long ways. But I got older stuff.
