West Central Iowa
The input planetary houses the B-HI brake and the C-LO clutch. The B-HI brake disk will wear the friction material out on it and the tabs that engage into the C-LO clutch drum can get pounded off of it also. If it is an early one the B-HI disk was updated to a thicker one with thicker tabs on it. This update to the thicker disk requires a B-HI piston change also. The updated disk is RE33706 and the piston is R94370. Also, the drum was changed to a stronger material as they would occasionally crack, but this was more of a problem in the large frame higher HP tractors. So yes, pull it out and tear it down and inspect it.

Just an FYI, this input planetary is what was added to the 8 speed PS to make it a 15 speed. The C1-C2 clutch was moved to the flywheel to make room for the input planetary.
