The only way a 3020 works is at an angle and yes it will push over beans when going at an angle that you won't get picked up. It's definitely a sunny weather head and likes banker hours. If you try and run in tough beans you will burn the drive belt so carry a spare. Had one for a couple seasons then went to a couple 3162 drapers that were better, but red heads aren't great. I have a geringhoff truflex now and it makes cutting beans enjoyable.
