Subject: Possible to remove gudgeon spindle and reusing it ?

El Campo/Houston, TX
Posted earlier about the incredibly difficult time had removing gudgeon cap on our 9520 John Deere (scraper special with bearings). When we rolled it apart the back race has eaten into the spindle . Iv heard all the horror stories about removing a spindle but also have heard that the 20 series sometimes are TOO loose . Is there any chance of removing the spindle (could weld some plates on it and with jacks or porta power hopefully pull it out) and weld it up and get turned down by machine ship AND remount it ? Have liquid nitrogen available as well as many other tools . Not sure if it’s supposed to be chromed or anything but it certainly isn’t anymore anywhere on it . Anyone try this before ?
