I am Gleaner loyal but I would consider Drago or Gerringhoff as a compromise and go used to keep dollars down. A fair selection of used heads in those 2 brands. Hidden cost would be buying head adapter plate retail and selling old adapter plate wholesale (my luck any way).

The cutting the window on snapping rolls really opens up ground speed but doesn't reduce trash into the head much. Probably not a huge gain on a 12 row since you can run slower and get a lot of acres covered. On an 8 row, it takes ground speed to another level with stalks being pulled straight down instead of at an angle.
