It all comes down to your needs. I am partly retired. Medical reasons. Got rid of cattle. Only do home farm and South 80. 8rn corn planter plenty big. When I quit applying fertilizer w/planter the acres per day increased. When I went to hired 22” soybean planting. The 8rn became bigger. ;)
IMO corn 1/2” too shallow, deep not as big a deal as soybeans. I have about 20’ gates. So unless folding every time in, out. *I am changing that*. I now can go to all major home fields with disc, digger, roller, drag unfolded.
