You can get a 24 row planter for not much more than a 12 row. That was one main reason we went that big back when we were barely 1000ac. Might not have all the bells and whistles but it will do fine. We're under 1500ac but spread out. 24r planter, 8r corn head, class 6 combine. Would be nice to upgrade to a class 7 or 8 combine to get through beans faster and a bit more bu/hr on corn.
