Neighbor had a Sheppard tractor in the fence row, three cylinder diesel. I did not know they made a kit to install the engine in a Farmall M, link below.

I thought I remembered seeing advertisements for the Farmall/Sheppard kit in old farm magazines from back in the 40s.
