I am a little young to know much about a Sheppard diesel, other than to have heard the name before. Seems like this guys has a number of them. What are they known for?
Building Shepard Diesel engines and tractors...duh...
They claim to have installed the first diesel in a farm tractor with those Farmall Conversions, and then started building their own line of diesel tractors in 1953.
Honestly, if they hadn't been built in Ohio, I wouldn't know a thing about them...but there always seemed to be some at a show around here. Very early direct injected diesel if memory serves correctly...we owned one for a while, never did get it running, but she was stuck when we found it. I think everything was just too tired and sticky to build good compression, and the injectors would just barely move fuel...so lots of issues.
