I am mostly confused about what you are asking and agree with the word salad. But, turning the wheels so they are out wider puts more stress on the hub and spindle. What are they rated for? Tire pressure needs to be what ever it takes for the amount of weight it carries. Tires usually have maximum weight at X pressure at 75 MPH. Less weight and less speed equally require less pressure.

Watching movie while typing. I should have reviewed. Last owner turned tires as narrow as possible. So valve stems inside. It did not feel steady first load. I assumed a bottom unload should have lower center of gravity. Tires had lots of flex at sub 40 psi. *I went almost direct to field from auction*. Truck tires are rated 120 iirc. Rims max 80psi. Tire shop suggested 70 psi with expected load. So I am a bit lite. But first load will be very dry corn.
Wider tires More stress yes. With tires turned in the turn radius going forward was reduced. Front Tire hit around 40 degrees from strait. I noticed hooking up at auction. I am returning it to factory setting. Hopefully corn goes up I can try it a few loads. Bottom unload rollers turn, so empty it glides. Hoping full it’s much easier to crank.
I only had 270 bu of wheat in it. 350 box. |
