If you are getting a new pickup ever other year let them use what ever oil they want definitely not going to make any difference in the short term, heck any oil will work for a couple of years, can only imagine some vehicles out there probably had every oil brand in the world in them if they had it done a quick lube places at least they change it know of some that hardly ever gets changed
