WC IL | Late 80's I delivered quite a few new Timpte van and reefer trailers out of David City. Sometimes they got loaded for the delivery trip, some were not and the paperwork usually specified that they were not to be loaded prior to delivery to the dealer. Sometimes moved a couple of loads with them on the way to the dealer. Once picked up a new trailer, hauled a load of mufflers to Seattle, then picked up a reefer at the dealer I delivered that trailer to and hauled a load of paper to SLC, delivered that trailer, picked up a van and loaded it to Chicago, delivered to dealer, then picked up a company trailer on a drop lot.
No idea whether anybody got a discount on those trailers. The thing I would be upset about in your situation is that the dealer didn't say anything about it. Guessing if he had, you wouldn't have had a problem if he had said let me take X amount off of the price because it has hauled a load, or 5 loads, whatever. | |
