east central ND | Back a dozen years ago, when I was fortunate enough to buy a new grain trailer, there was a destination fee for getting the trailer from the factory to the dealer. Seems it was 800 or a 1000 bucks. And that was a sales taxable item in my state. Same dealer rents and leases trailers, seems the minimum is a months rent, $1200?
I would want the dealer to knock off a month of trailer rent, or refund the destination fee.
Edit: I bet you paid FET tax on a “new” trailer, maybe that should be refunded too? The first owner/user should pay that, right?
