just a tish NE of central ND
Noise as in you hear a slight zing zing zing zing?
If it is the electric pain in the hind end reverser with a starter motor, the sprockets wear on the shaft and get loose with end play., and the ring gear wheel can rub the starter gear. This also happens when the starter gets dirty, and wont fully retract.
That ring gear will shoot sparks down on the straw at the slightest hitting of the ring gear teeth /to have contact to the starter drive. In the dark it will look like a hand grinder working on steel.
Clutch slipping sound is either the clutch or the bearings are out on the feeder drive, and you hear the feeder shaft cogs hitting the cross brace of the feeder house. The other noise to look at is if you feeder drum si dropped down for some reason on one side. You will hear the bars knocking on the bottom and side of the feeder.
