We had one time where the landowner said he lost a pipe and a new roll of barb wire off the rake tractor. Told him he better find it quick

That reminds me of a time we went to chop corn silage and the owner told us there was a moisture monitor setup in the field that he didn’t want damaged. We told him it could be really hard to see in time to stop without hitting it, and he really ought to go retrieve it before we started in. He declined, and told us just to watch for it, and approximately where it was. We found it with the Kemper header about 30 rows from where he said it should be, and it was damaged beyond repair. He wanted us to pay for it, as those things are relatively expensive. We declined.
