Subject: John Deere unload auger

Central Kansas
This is my third season with a John Deere combine and a unload auger that has an extension on it to accommodate a 40 foot Draper. Came this way from a former owner. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get used to the auger boot out of the end. Every time I pull up to the truck to unload if we’re not using the graincart, Several times I overshoot the far truck side And spill Grain. When I pull up to the truck, it looks like the end of the auger and boot is right over the close side of the truck but it gets in there near the center of the bed. The John Deere auger and boot must be a lot different than the former Case/ IH combine that I had. My question is do you guys, when switching different brands of combine, do you find that this is true or is it a problem I will eventually over come? Had a 2188 and now a 9770.

Oh did I failed to mention I’ve had to scoop Grain back into the truck because of the mishaps!!
