North Central OH | We had a 644 for a long time, the wide pickup doesn't cause many issues but the augers occasionally could plug up. It would definitely plug easier than the RB450 we replaced it with. Never baled with a narrow pickup, wide one has to be much easier on you. Personally would never consider twine, but that a you thing.
Only problems we every really had with the 644 was the rear ujoint on the pto and the upper drive roll bearing, twice each over 15,000bales. Areas to look at are the net brake and knife, irrelevant if you are set on twine. Gear and bearing condition on the sledge rolls, our we still ok at 18,000 bales but they eventually need work. And as with any baler belt condition.
