WC IL
Had a Ford Taurus many years ago the bride drove to work. Had about 150,000 miles on it when it blew the top radiator hose after the water pump went out. She drove it until it quit. I drove down to where it stopped, found the blown radiator hose. Crank it over and it started, heard the water pump rattling. Took to a friend’s shop and put a water pump on, filled with straight water and drove it that way for a few days, drained the water and filled with water/antifreeze. It had been using about a quart of oil in 1,000 miles before, went to zero oil usage after. Probably got lucky, but drove it to 225,000 miles and never had a problem with it.

I’d say if you’ve run it 7 hours with no problem it’s okay.
