Fought problems with a Miller 250X- particularly wire sticking to the tip- for a lot of years. Called Miller Tech support, they told us which resistor to cut to get rid of the hot start function. Made a whole different welder out of it. If yours has Hot Start, and you don't need it, getting rid of it might fix some of your issues.
