Subject: 1845C skid steer. Four-cylinder Cummins metal in the oil question

Hey guys, I’ve been kind of monitoring this the past oil changer too. I can wipe off the oil drain plug magnet on a paper towel and then pick up that paper towel with a paper clip magnet. Definitely not a ton of shavings, but it’s enough that the magnet can pick it up and hold the paper towel up now. Are These little engines were rebuilding? I know the skid steers pushing 30 years old. Think it’s a 93. 7k hours. This is one engine I know absolutely nothing about, unfortunately. Don’t have much for blow by at all. Keep running it?? We use it to load the feed wagon every day during winter so it gets 20-30 minutes on it for 1/2 the year and then odd jobs around the farm.
