Holly Hill, SC
My 2588 did this years ago in a curve on a 2 lane pave road in the rain while it was 95 degrees. Not a good day. Remove the mud hog assembly off the end of the axle leaving hydraulic lines attached. On ours we back beveled the break with a grinder, layed everything true on the flat concrete shop floor, deep penetration 6011 rod first and finished with 7018. Added 4x4x1/4 angle and disc axle underneath. Also added some steel to the top. You have some pivot stops to have to choose your patch sizes wisely. Has held up fine since. Would recommend anyone with this type of combine if not already patched to go ahead and add some steel to this axle.
