Subject: RE: JD RD35F draper question

Royal City, WA
I'm not sure what you mean by the curtains? Are they the rubber pieces that are riveted on where the rear of the header mates up with the feederhouse? I have had a 730FD and now run a RD30FD and haven't had any issues like that and haven't broken any tines on the center drum. I really like the headers and have only had issues in edible bean wrapping on the center drum but that is only because they were a little too green and I was just trying to get done. I ran a MacDon FD70 previously and would get more dirt in the outside rollers under the belts with it and I couldn't cut across the pivot wheel tracks with it like I can with the Deere flex draper. I don't care for the Deere crop dividers and wish the plastic ramp in front of the belts wasn't such a steep approach angle.
