Oregon | This is incorrect. If you look closely, the flat section of the sheets are held down tight to the deck. The lower part of that flashing is not tied to the deck- it is tied to the ridge of the lower sheet. The top of the lower sheet is fastened to the deck under the flashing- BEFORE the flashing goes over the top. The screws on the lower part of the flashing bind it to the ridges- but they should not go to the deck unless you want a bunch of divots along those ridges- all of which will leak. | |
