Holly Hill, SC
I am going to give you my experience with a Lincoln 210 MP which has a digital display so you can simple set welder to metal thinness and other inputs (wire size, gas type etc...) I struggled for two year with obtaining consistent welds (would sputter and not be smooth sometimes and next pass be perfect) and also had major problems with the wire welding itself to the tip. Finally came up with fix that has resolved all my problems: Slow wire speed down from the auto set position, not just a little but by like 35%. Not applicable to your welder but for mine I set the thickness to say 1/4" and then immediately roll the wire speed to slower right at the edge of red and green zone on the display. Next fix was all of the standard tips where flush with the nozzle. I take all my new tips and cut 3/16" to 1/4" off the tip to recess them in from the nozzle face. No more wire welded to the tip. I was blaming cheap wire, bad liner, bad ground, etc.... The above items fixed all my problems.
