There are literally a million different hardfacing electrodes/wire you can get. Some are rated for essentially all impact and no abrasion, and vice Versa. Finding the right one is a lot of trial and error plus $$$$ and what to do with the leftover stuff that didn’t work.

I really want to hardface blades but it’s the one thing I won’t do. Blades are cheap compared to the potential damage they can do.
