Subject: RE: John Deere 8R ILS pin turning

Royal City, WA
Did you get any SFA codes from this. We have an 8330 with ILS and getting an SFA code after having it parked and the suspension settled. Had a tech out to diagnose it and pulled rear caps off of the top pin and can see some movement in the top pin just jacking it up and letting it down. They worked on it for 3 days saying they aren't getting power to the control valve up front and when we try to do a calibration and lock out the SCV's it says "err" not letting us perform a calibration. It was on labor day weekend with not many techs available and had to use a different dealership in my area. The dealership I usually use has more experience with the ILS and said my issue could be because the top pins are rotating slightly but when checking the sensors they tested good. The tractor only has 4200 ish hrs on it and have another 8330 with about the same hrs like it that settles as well. The tech working on it said he started a DTAC? case but I haven't heard back from anyone.
