On our 2008 9670 it was the backup alarm sensor causing an issue like you describe. We changed the sensor but after reading the direction to install the new one i think the old one was ok just needed adjusted... our backup beeper did not sound all the time and the dealer told us if combine had a steering valve it used that sensor and something else if it had an atu for steering
