Subject: COMBINE WARRANTY QUESTION

SC MN
I need a little advice. Here is the situation. I purchased a used 2013 combine in Sept '22. One week later the hydraulic pump failed. I had the local dealership where I purchased the machine install a pump. It came with a one year parts and labor warranty. Two weeks later we started having a transmission error code come up on the screen, if you had stopped the machine. You had to shut down and restart to move ahead. The dealership suggested electrical connections at the sensors, so we tried that. The problem was intermittent so we finished the season like that. Move ahead to Aug '23, we brought the machine in for a preseason inspection. And stated that, "lets get this transmission error code fixed". A new sensor was installed, and connections checked and cleaned. No improvement for the 2023 season. We had several attempts at repairing the problem during the season. Now we are at the preseason of '24 harvest. And again, "lets get this transmission code figured out". Well, guess what. A new hydraulic pump installed and the problem is fixed. But guess what? No warranty because it is 23 months old and the warranty is for 12 months, even though it failed within two weeks and they have been working on it since.... I get it that sometimes things fail a day after the warranty ends, but this is on record having failed within two weeks of installation. The first pump and install was a burdensome expense...To invoice me again seems inappropriate.

Warranty or No?
What do you guys think?
