Fans are easy starting loads. Probably about the perfect application to have voltage sag during starting. You’re getting free soft starting!

However once it revs up, you need to have at least the nameplate voltage at the motor terminals. Bin fans can be speced by the manufacturer to run in the service factor depending on how much static pressure they’re pushing, so they don’t need low voltage.

I would use a wire size calculator to keep voltage drop to around 3-5% max using running amps.
