Looking at all the comments regarding Kibble/Platte Valley/Valley Plains, I wouldn't be surprised if they are next. Ace Brandt was the CEO and a large shareholder in that group. He died a few years ago, and Ron Offutt is his stepdad. Wouldn't be surprised if the whole ag division of Brandt Holdings joins up with RDO at some point. Together, they would have something like 70 ag stores, plus all of the RDO Construction stores. Start adding in AHW and some others, and they would easily be the largest dealer group in the US, at least in terms of sales. | |
