I been washing parts with gasoline for 60 years.
i never once had a boom or a fire


We washed parts with gas in an oil drain pan until the 90s. Outside, away from the wood stove!

It's nice having solvent in a parts washer that is safer.

Gas can soak into your skin. There have been people that washed parts in it without rubber gloves and then later rinsed off their hands with water before lighting up a cigarette. There was enough gas still in their skin to severely burn their hands.
