I have a white 8831 center fill, and the meters need to be replaced.. I have heard that the 9000 series meters are better than the original ones I have. Is this true? Also, does anyone know how big of a job it is changing from the 8831 style miny hopper to the 9000 style. Also, is there a difference between the 95xx and the 98xx style mini hopper.. thanks in advance
You can not install 9000 meters on a 8000 unit, completely different mount.
I have never worn out a seed meter, have some planters with well over 30K acres, so not sure how that happens really.
I do have 23 good 8000 seed meters from a 8523 we converted to Precision, my Dad's planter, 5K acres on it. If you're interested in them, we can ship them.
