Cam phasers are a problem on Expeditions. A family member of mine just traded up from a 2018 Expedition Max to a newer one and the first question when shopping trades was about cam phasers.
Other problems I've observed is the sunroof/moonroof seal is chintzy; inspect it for tears. The front air dam / lower spoiler is also poorly built and can tear; also inspect it.
